The Need For Childcare in Our Community in North Dallas

At Chase Oaks, we’ve reimagined how to add value to our communities by activating our spaces for daily use. One way is by meeting the huge local demand for affordable, high-quality childcare.

With the end of federal pandemic funding, surveys have shown that nearly half of the childcare centers around the nation are at risk of closing. Nearly all the centers in our immediate area have long waiting lists. Whether or not we have young children of our own, we all depend on working parents to fill critical roles in our communities. Without childcare for their family, parents are not able to participate in the workforce—which impacts all of us.

We’re taking a collaborative approach to the need. We’ve partnered with Pathways Learning Academy, an organization that excels at childcare. Organizations like Pathways are looking for spaces to house their centers. We can provide that space. Pathways will operate childcare centers at each of our campuses, and Chase Oaks will be responsible for the centers’ spiritual component each week.

We’re excited to invest in the children and families who attend Pathways. Not only will we help meet the vital need for childcare in our community, but we will also get to connect with hundreds of families while introducing them to our church.

Pathways will launch at the Legacy Campus (Plano, TX) in the summer of 2024, followed by the Woodbridge Campus (Sachse, TX) in the fall of 2024 and then the Sloan Creek Campus (Fairview, TX) in early 2025.

This childcare partnership is a powerful avenue for us to meet people in regular rhythm of their lives, impact children and families spiritually, and generate resources that can be used to fund ministry as we continue to be Here for Good.
