Pathways Learning Academy is Coming to Chase Oaks Woodbridge
Woodbridge Pathways Learning Academy Reimagine Update
I'm Liz, and I'm going to give you the latest on how we're activating our spaces at our campuses to offer childcare to our community, families, and parents.
Michael and Susie Sampeck have been using Pathways Learning Academy at Chase Oaks for their daughter Harper since it first opened in the summer of 2024.
The Sampecks say, “It's really nice throughout the day. We'll get little pictures of her. And so at first we kind of felt guilty putting her in daycare. It’s our first kid. But those little updates are really nice. We feel connected with her and then we can see what she's doing, how she's playing.”
Academy Director Jessica Bradford says the Sampecks are one of over 30 families registered at the Legacy Campus. They love that they feel safe dropping their kids off.
Jessica comments, “They love that it's in a church, that there is some faith-based stuff happening in here, because that's hard to find out there these days, especially in the area. And I know that Plano is a very much growing community, so it's important to make sure you have the option available for them.”
And very soon, another campus will join efforts to provide childcare to our community. This newly renovated playground space at Chase Oaks Woodbridge will create more opportunities for families in the Sachse area.
David Monroe, Chase Oaks Next Gen Pastor, says “There's a lot of time where our facility just is unused and this community needs childcare. There's a need for childcare in all communities and we thought, hey, how can we figure this out? How can we make it better? And so hopefully when you drive by pretty soon you'll see kids in and out of this building. It'll be exciting.”
Not only does activating our campuses reimagine how we support our community, but it also creates an open door to invest in the next generation.”
David continues, “They do a great job of having really safe, great, meaningful childcare, but we get the opportunity to be a part of that and we get to come in once a week or so and share the Gospel with the kids, which is fantastic.”
Jessica says, “So we do chapel every Wednesday, and it's from 10-10:30 AM, and the church comes in and they provide fun little activities and songs and dance and stuff for the kids to do and they absolutely love it. They have a blast. We can hear them all the way down the hallway.”
Chase Oaks Next Gen Pastor David Monroe says the plan is to open a third Pathways Learning Academy at our Sloan Creek campus. The goal is for all Chase Oaks campuses to provide childcare by the end of 2025. All of this is to continue supporting the growing needs in our local community and to connect with people in the regular rhythm of their lives.
Michael continues, “It is right down the road from us and it's really been nice living so close to the church we go to. Like it's really convenient, so then the fact that it was also a daycare kind of made it a no-brainer. We were hesitant at first, but then after I mentioned the communication and meeting the teachers, the proximity to where we work and live, it just made a lot of sense to go here. Then the staff has just exceeded our expectations after that. And so that's why we want to stay here.”
Thank you for your generosity. Because of you, we were able to build this playground for so many kids and families to have an opportunity for safe and trusted childcare.
